Petrof, then the YC5 and then the Steingraeber. The Steinway B and then the D are up there pretty closely, then followed by the Ant. is the cleanest and most realistic-sounding, the most like my acoustic. On my system, looking at nothing but the Player presets, the C. Every day, Pianoteq impresses me more than before. Overall, Pianoteq is such a great experience. This is kind of sad because the bass notes are great too. The YC5 is not my kind, the middle to high notes are strange I would say. This one is definitely number 1 on my wishlist though. I think the Blüthner needs a refinement like the new instruments. I really like that one, especially the bass notes, but I don't like the middle ones. Petrof seems to be the most realistic (not close to the real one, although it might be the case). Don't get me wrong though, it is a beautiful instrument. On the other side, I don't feel like the Steinway D is close to a real Steinway D (maybe I am mistaken I haven't had the chance to listen to one in person). I would also like to know which pianos are closer to the real ones.įor me at least, it seems like the Steinway B is close to a real Steinway B.
